About the programme
Strong early years practice depends on confident, skilled practitioners who can lead the day to day work of a setting and shape children’s earliest experiences. The Thrive Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5 apprenticeship develops experienced practitioners into confident leaders of practice, working directly with children while guiding and supporting colleagues.
The programme is built on the Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5 apprenticeship standard and enhanced with specialist Thrive content, deepening understanding of child development, relationships, behaviour and social and emotional wellbeing alongside the leadership skills to support others and improve practice. It is delivered by Best Practice Network in collaboration with Thrive.
The programme typically takes up to 21 months, including the end point assessment, and is delivered through a blend of online learning, live virtual sessions and face to face tutoring, with regular tutor reviews, designed to fit around your role. Training is funded through the Apprenticeship Levy, with 95% government co-funding for settings that do not pay the levy.
