About the programme
The NPQ for Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC) gives participants the essential knowledge, skills and concepts that underpin successful leadership of culture and behaviour in a school. Strong, consistent behaviour systems and a positive culture are foundational to inclusion: they create the conditions in which all pupils, including those with SEND, can learn well.
The programme is Department for Education (DfE) accredited and is built on a robust evidence base aligned to the evidence base that runs through national teacher development programmes. The programme blends face to face events, online study, webinars and in school performance coaching, designed to fit around a teacher’s timetable.
Participants learn to evaluate current approaches to behaviour management, make evidence based decisions about change, and implement school wide systems that support pupils and staff alike.
Who it’s for
- Teachers with at least two years’ experience who have, or aspire to have, responsibility for leading behaviour or supporting pupil wellbeing
- Pastoral and inclusion leads building consistent, supportive whole school systems
- Schools strengthening culture as part of their wider SEND and inclusion strategy
