NPQ for SENCOs
The mandatory National Professional Qualification for current and aspiring SENCOs.
18 months • DfE accredited
About the programme
The NPQ for SENCOs is a National Professional Qualification that is now mandatory for SENCOs, who must complete it within 3 years of taking up the role. It equips participants with the skills, knowledge and leadership capability to shape whole school teaching practice and build genuinely inclusive environments where pupils with SEND can thrive.
The qualification sits at the heart of the national SEND reforms, which emphasise meeting the needs of pupils with SEND early in mainstream settings, before needs escalate. With Ofsted now reporting on inclusion as its own evaluation area, the strategic leadership of SEND has never carried more weight.
We deliver the programme through a blend of face to face events, online learning communities, expert led content and structured support from experienced performance coaches. Applicants need the full support of their school or organisation.
