NPQ for Leading Teaching
Develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead teaching across a subject, year group, key stage or phase.
Specialist NPQ • 12 months • DfE accredited, with targeted scholarship funding
About the programme
The NPQ for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) is a Department for Education (DfE) accredited qualification for teachers who currently hold, or aspire to, leadership roles in teaching, whether in a particular subject, year group, key stage or phase. Participants often manage a team of teachers, with work focused on supporting effective teaching across the school.
Evidence consistently shows that high quality, adaptive teaching is one of the most important in school factors for pupils with SEND, and the national reforms place inclusive classroom practice at the centre of school improvement. The NPQLT gives middle leaders the evidence base and the practical tools to raise the quality of teaching for every pupil.
The programme blends face to face events with online study, webinars, performance coaching and enrichment activities.
