Looking for SEND Lens for Local Authorities and Schools?

SEND Lens

Most MAT leaders know their SEND provision needs attention. The challenge is knowing where to start. Without a consistent way to review provision across your schools, it is difficult to build an evidence base, prioritise action or demonstrate progress to key stakeholders or to Ofsted.

SEND Lens removes that barrier. It is a trust-wide evaluation and reporting tool that supports leaders to review their own SEND provision in a structured, consistent and credible way, giving you a clear, evidence-led baseline and a practical route to improvement.

You do not need to build your own system. We have built one that you can use today – free for our first 25 founding partners.

SEND Lens aligns with the SEND White Paper and maps against the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, so the evidence it generates supports inspection readiness from day one.

Use it to

  • Identify where leaders across your trust have strong confidence in their SEND provision, and where further review is needed
  • Build a consistent picture of confidence and development areas across your schools, and identify where to focus attention first
  • Establish an evidence-led baseline of SEND provision and demonstrate alignment with the SEND White Paper and the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
  • Understand consistency and variation in how provision is viewed across your schools
  • Support board level and executive decision making with credible evidence
  • Build a shared language around SEND across your leadership team

What you receive

  • A Trust-Level Leadership Report covering strategy, governance, operational effectiveness and alignment
  • A Collective Trust Analysis Report that aggregates school-level insights to surface trust-wide themes, areas of strong confidence, development areas, and disparities with trust-level assumptions
  • This collective trust analysis report also includes individual school-level reports which reflect each school’s own structured review of their provision, levels of confidence and areas for further development

How it works

Getting started takes minutes, not weeks.

  • Your MAT leadership team completes the initial trust-level evaluation. This takes approximately 1 hour.
  • You then receive your Trust-Level Leadership Report and individual login links to share with each school in your trust.
  • Each school completes their own school-level evaluation, which should take approximately 2 hours.
  • As your schools complete their evaluations, at certain milestones, your Collective Trust Analysis Report will be generated and shared with you personally. We do not share them directly with your schools; that decision is yours.
  • Trust leaders can then see where confidence is strong across their schools and identify where to look further, alongside other evidence and feedback they hold.

Join as a Founding Partner – limited to the first 25 MATs

SEND Lens is completely free for our first 25 founding partners for the remainder of the 2025 to 2026 academic year, and the full 2026 to 2027 academic year. That is a saving of at least £750 per school.

Founding partners receive:

  • Full access to SEND Lens from the day you join
  • Licence fee waived from the day you join through to the end of the 2026 to 2027 academic year.
  • A direct influence on how SEND Lens develops. Your needs and requirements will shape the future of the tool
  • Priority access to SEND Consultancy support

No catch. No contract. No obligation.

We know that “free” can raise questions. Here is exactly what founding partner status means:

  • There is no contract to sign
  • There is no obligation to use any of our other services
  • There is no automatic payment or renewal at the end of the free period
  • You get full access to the tool from the day you join
  • If you choose not to continue after this period, that is completely fine

This is a genuine offer to a small group of MATs who want to get ahead of their SEND provision. In return, by using the tool and sharing your feedback, you will help us build the best SEND evaluation tool for MATs.
